How to Keep Your Office Block Super Clean

Hello! My name is Gerald and I own a large office block which is located in downtown Sydney. I am a very busy businessman so I spend a lot of time in my company offices on the telephone and having meetings. Last year, I noticed that the place was getting a bit untidy and I didn't want my staff to waste time cleaning the place up when they could be making more money for the company. I asked around and found a great cleaning company who now visit my office block twice a week to make sure it is super clean. My staff are much happier and so am I. This blog details the benefits of calling in a professional cleaner.

When to Call for a Pest Inspection for Your Home

In some cases, it may be obvious that you need to call for a pest inspection and fumigation services for your home; if you see mice running across a baseboard or have a recurring problems with roaches in the kitchen, your home needs fumigation. However, there are other times when it's good to have the home inspected for pests so that you can know whether there are any problems that need to be taken care of; note a few of those times here.

Renovating

When you're renovating a home, you may easily disturb insulation that is being used by rodents for nesting, or you may be shocked to find ants, roaches or other pests behind walls, under floorboards and in other locations. Not only is this an upsetting experience, but it can also be very unhealthy! Being exposed to pest droppings or causing them to become airborne can be dangerous to your health.

It's also good to note if the home has termites, rodents and other pests so you can have these removed before putting in new building materials during a renovation project. Termites chew through wood and rodents chew through electrical wiring as well as drywall and other building materials, so your renovation project may soon be ruined if you don't first fumigate.

Draughts

If your home suddenly seems very draughty, this can be caused by a number of things, including holes in the roof and old windows shifting and pulling away from the frame, allowing gaps to form. However, rodents and termites might also be chewing through a home's wood frame and its building materials so that the home has air leaks and becomes cold and draughty. If you've checked the roof and windows, have the home inspected for potential pests.

Damage to building materials

If your home's insulation is not old enough to be thin and worn, or if wires are bare and frayed but also not old, it may be that the home has pests. Rodents burrow into insulation to make nests or to move through the home, and this burrowing can cause fibreglass to get thin. When rodents chew on wires, they may not break through the rubber or plastic casing, but this can cause the wiring to become frayed. Cracks in drywall might be the result of rodents chewing on the ends of this material, or termites may have damaged the wood frame supporting the drywall, causing it to shift and crack. When you see these subtle but telltale signs of pests, have the home inspected by a professional pest control service for a potential infestation.
